Who is the Stop Kelmarsh Wind Farm campaign?

One of the first villages to hear about and discuss the proposals for the windfarm was Haselbech. The matter was discussed at the Parish Meeting in November 2007 (Haselbech isn’t big enough to have a Parish Council).

The Parish Meeting voted unanimously to try and prevent the proposals coming to fruition, and to that end elected the Campaign Committee.

Members of the Committee at that stage were all residents from Haselbech, but as time has gone on and the campaign has gathered momentum members have joined the Committee from other surrounding villages. This is entirely deliberate; the proposals affect us all, and the original membership simply reflected that fact that Haselbech was first to react.

The campaign is now following the lead and advice of other, successful windfarm campaigns and becoming a membership organisation led by the Committee. If you support our objectives, please join the organisation and get involved. The campaign will doubtless continue to develop and change as different activities are undertaken.
